I’ve been planning this post for what feels like forever. After sharing my morning routine last spring, I’ve been itching to create more routine/day-in-the-life content. Better late then never is my motto, though, and today I’m so excited to be talking about my post-school ritual. Even though my afternoon schedule varies depending on the day, I’ve got the basics down to a few essential “ingredients” that keep my afternoon hours as productive, (relatively) stress-free, and enjoyable as possible. Get a closer look below:
1 // Snack
If you should know anything about me, it’s that my life pretty much revolves around when I’m going to eat. In other words, I’m the Queen of Hangry, so grabbing a bite, like nuts or the protein balls seen above, is my first move after getting home from school.
2 // Homework
My favorite time of day, obvs! 😉 Kidding aside, I hit the books right after eating and keep going for a couple hours. Right now I’m relegated to my room, but I’m thinking about branching out to more study spaces soon!
3 // Exercise
Now this is my actual favorite time of day. Real talk, after a couple hours at my desk it feels great to put on workout clothes and m-o-v-e. I love doing videos from Tone It Up or PopSugar Fitness, and usually cool down with a yoga sequence!
4 // Dinner
I’m always starving (again with the hangry) after a workout , so I eat dinner after right after I’m showered. What I eat varies, but what you see above is a delicious coconut quinoa dish from the One Part Plant cookbook (so good!) topped with some steamed broccoli, avocado, and sriracha. After dinner, I head back homework and blogging before settling into my evening ritual. 🙂
