I love avocados. On toast, in a salad, on a spoon…I devour it all. So when I heard that some geniuses were adding avocado to their smoothies, I knew I had to try it for myself. The result of my experiment? The Choco-Avo Smoothie, aka a delicious drink that’s perfect for breakfast, a post-workout snack, even dessert. Want to give it a try? See below for the full recipe.
Choco-Avo Smoothie / serves 1
1 cup non-dairy milk
1 scoop cacao-based protein powder- I love this brand
about 1/4 of a ripe avocado- adjust based on how creamy you want the texture to be
1/2 cup frozen banana slices
**optional: toppings like slivered nuts, fresh fruit, granola…feel free to get creative!
Combine ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth et voila, one Choco-Avo Smoothie, comin’ right up.
