Dressed to Impress: British Fashion Awards

I had another post planned for today, but after a particularly eventful scroll through Instagram yesterday morning I decided a change of plans was in order.

You see, Monday night (November 23) was the British FashionAwards ceremony, aka one of the industry’s biggest nights, aka a gathering of EWDPs, or Exceptionally Well-Dressed People. And the guest list, which included everyone from designers to models to the occasional celebrity, certainly pulled out all the sartorial stops. Highlights included the Beckhams’ tuxes, Karlie Kloss in Chanel, Malika Firth in Topshop, Karl and Anna (because Karl and Anna), everyone wearing Erdem…

Oh, what about the actual awards? Yeah, they were pretty cool, too. Alessandro Michele took home the International Designer Award, Erdem claimed the Establishment Designer prize, while J.W. Andersen took home not one but two trophies: for Menswear and Womenswear Designer. Other honorees included Jourdan Dunn, who was named Model of the Year, and Burberry, recognized for its advertising acumen with the Creative Campaign award.
