Although January is the official start of the new year, I’ve always thought that September was the perfect time to hit “reset.” As summers dwindles to a close, you have time to reflect on all that has happened over the past several months.
I’ve been thinking a lot about this lately. Like I said in my post celebrating the one year anniversary of this blog, I can hardly believe that only 365 days stand between who I am today and who I was one year ago. In fact, I can hardly remember who I was a year ago. And I’ve decided that’s a good thing. Because, as much as I may long to revisit it, the past is not a life-sustaining planet. I can’t dwell on the 15-year-old Olivia and the things she may have said, or done, or thought. I can only focus on the person I am today.
Do I like that person? I don’t really know yet. We’re only just getting acquainted.
Check back on Wednesday for a peak at what’s “on my radar” this September!
