I’m not sure if any of you have noticed, but one subject we rarely get into on here is beauty. This is not because I’m makeup-averse, but more due to the fact that- outside of my daily routine- I can’t claim to know much about cosmetics and the like. That said, I do have my “essentials”: three tools that consistently produce awesome results even in my inexperienced hands. And, because I enjoy sharing things with you guys (#squad, amiright?), today I giving you the low-down on just what those three things are. So read on, folks, ‘cause A Style Study is getting beautified.
My mom is always on me about my eyebrows. Most of the time I roll my eyes, but I have to hand it to her on this one: an eyebrow tamer is an absolute must-have. If I had to choose just one thing to do to my face before leaving the house, it would be to use this little sucker. It’s amazing how a single run-through can make you look ten times more polished and wide-awake looking. Plus, it’s super-quick: just a flick of the wrist and you’re good to go.
If I get a compliment, more often then not it’s about my eyelashes. Unfortunately, I cannot claim some sort of genetic gift; I owe it all to my Arbonne mascara. As dedicated user for the past couple years, I truly cannot sing its praises enough. The shape of the cap makes the brush easy to hold onto, which is essential when it’s 7 A.M. and you’re not fully awake yet. The formula goes on seamlessly, and in just one swipe you’ve long, bat-worthy lashes.
I reviewed Beautycounter’s Lip Sheer last year, and I’m still raving over it. The texture is the perfect balance between a lip stick and balm, so that your lips look and feel great at the same time. But perhaps my favorite part is the rosy-pink shade (you can find other colors here). It’s subtle enough so that its appropriate for school and everyday activities, but still adds some color to jazz up your complexion.
And there you have it: my vanity sidekicks. As long as I’ve got these three by my side, I’m confident that I’ll look put-together day in, and day out. If you’re interested, I highly recommend trying any of the above products for yourself. Especially the eyebrow brush. That thing is life changing.
To conclude this post, I want to thank you for sticking with me today as we explored the unknown territory of beauty. If you enjoyed the ride, and are eager for more, please do comment and let me know. And if you didn’t…um, keep it to yourself. Because, remember: beauty is as much about the inside as it is the outside.
