Lolita Jacobs: La Fille Plus Cool

She’s a Central Saint Martins grad who never leaves home without her menswear watch, and believes that great style is all about quality. She’s a Parisian It-girl with a quirky side, who finds great pleasure in wearing her socks over her jeans. Her name is Lolita Jacobs, and, chances are, she’s cooler than you.

I’m just kidding, of course. But, in all seriousness, Lolita Jacobs is a girl we should all have an eye on. Her impeccable street style has made her regular on popular websites like garancedore.com, where her latest sartorial adventures never fail to delight. She’s a favorite of designers, as well: For the past two years, she’s served as a consultant and muse for Coperni Femme, one of Paris’ hottest young brands. Designers Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant call Lolita a “cool Parisian girl,” whose influence has helped to define the look of their line.

As for the girl beneath the chic ensembles and impressive resumé? Well, after Internet stalking her for the better part of my weekend, I feel confident saying that she is just as fabulous as she look. Here’s some things you should know, besides the above:

She collects a certain Nabokov novel- you guessed it…Lolita– in all different languages.

When asked to describe her style, she responded “bourgeoise, little boy from Paris with a touch of femininity.”

Her spirit emjoii is the thunderbolt.

She totally rejects the idea that French women are light years ahead of the rest of us. In her words: “I think the idea of a ‘typical’ French girl is a bit of a cliché—we are just like any other girl.”

With a winning personality, obvious talent, and style to boot, we’re sure to be hearing a lot more from Lolita Jacobs. I, for one, cannot wait to see what she’ll do next.

xx
