What I Read This Week

Hey there, amigos. (Thought we’d try Spanish for a while, ‘kay?) It just hit me this week that summer is drawing to a close. Pretty soon, I’ll be back at school, back to sports practices and lots of homework. While the prospect of that is not pretty, I’m trying to enjoy my last few weeks of freedom before it’s back to the grind. I’ve been spending a lot of time reading, writing for this blog, and just indulging in some “me” time. Needless to say, it’s been an enjoyable time.

What are your plans for the rest of the summer?

I loved Deliciously Ella’s interview with the super-inspiring yogi Rachel Brathen.

The Man Repeller made a strong case for sticking to one pair of shoes. Could you do it?

Big industry news this week: the fashion house of legendary 20th century designer Paul Poiret is about to be reborn.

I’ve got major travel envy after seeing Oh, Ladycakes!‘s photos from her recent trip to Ireland.

I’m obsessed with Caroline Issa’s impeccable style, so it was fun getting a peak into how she shops via Fashionista.

InStyle was the first fashion magazine I ever read, but I’m embarrassed to admit that, until now, I was unfamiliar with it’s amazing fashion director, Melissa Rubini.

The Blab giving us a styling 101, as per usual.

xx
