Chill Out: The Art of Winding Down

Recently, I have come to realize that my academic success is just as dependent upon time spent “unwinding” as it is all those hours studying. Taking an hour or two away from the textbooks to really give our brain a break can seriously boost our mood, leaving us refreshed and newly motivated to tackle whatever tasks need to get done. Here are a few of my personal methods for reaching that state of bliss:

+ Make some tea (or another hot beverage)

+…Accompanied by a healthy snack for some extra energy

+ Read a book

Exercise. (Gotta keep that metabolism revving!)

Change into comfy clothes

Catch up on my favorite blogs/go on Pinterest

+ Indulge in a little date with Netflix

…So, that’s what keeps me from going instance throughout the school year (kidding!…kind of). I’m interested: what are some of your personal methods for when you just relax?
