What to Wear There: Thanksgiving

You know one thing I’m thankful for this Thanksgiving? Sweater dresses.

No, really. Not to sound materialistic (which I totally just did), sweater dresses are a saving grace around this time of year. It seems that, amidst all the stress and hype leading up to holiday gatherings, we tend to forget that we need outfits to wear to these things. This situation usually ends in a panic the night before when we realize that, no, last year’s dress does not still fit like a glove.

Well, enter the sweater dress. As the pinnacle of versatility, this piece is an absolute must-have for the holiday season. You can dress it up, dress is down, accessorizing it every which way. Even better? Knit fabrics give the sweater dress just the right amount of stretch, making it super-forgiving, even after that double serving of mashed potatoes.

In honor of tomorrow’s highly-anticipated feast (and the piece that’ll be keeping us looking fashionable while chowing down), I’ve put together three sweater dress-based outfits that are go-tos for not only Thanksgiving, but just about any fun-filled holiday event:

I hope these little collages gave you some needed inspiration! More importantly, though, I wish you all a happy Thanksgiving. We’ll be taking advantage of the long weekend here at A Style Study, but be sure to check in come Monday for more fashionable fun!

xx
