This was quite an interesting week. For me, this was the calm before the storm. Next week is the last week of our first quarter, so that means a few thousand tests, quizzes, projects, etc. Not to mention the fact that this week’s rainy weather caused my last tennis match to be postponed all the way to Monday! I know I have a hectic few days ahead, but I am doing my best to stay positive and not stress out too much.
Do any of you have a go-to ritual for times like this? Anything in particular that de-stresses you, like a bubble bath or snuggling in bed with a good magazine? I’d love to hear!
::one:: I got to get my blog on this past Sunday with some really lovely company: fresh sunflowers! Definitely prettier than the wall in my bedroom…
::two:: okay, rotten picture, but I loved this book. I just finished it a few nights ago, and I cannot say enough! It was not something I would have picked up on my own, but it just goes to show that sometimes the road less traveled by really is best!
::three:: i loved and was touched by all the social media tributes to the great Oscar de la Renta, but though that @oscarprgirl’s was especially poignant. to me, this photo represents everything that Mr. de la Renta was, a hard worker, a business man, but above all an artist whose beautiful clothes stunned and will stun for decades to come.
::four:: lastly, some extra-crunchy asian pears. I love all kinds of fruit, and love munching on something citrusy right after dinner. it has such a cleansing, renewing effect! definitely a highlight. (what can I say? I’m a foodie at heart)
