This September is a beautiful month for fashion lovers. Not only will there be major runway action, but September 14 marks the debut of one of the most highly-anticipated designer collaborations yet: Joseph Altuzarra for Target.
The CFDA Award-winning designer, who established his eponymous brand in 2008, worked side-by-side with the retailer to create a 48-piece capsule collection, all of which will go for less than $100. It is rumored he designed the collection with Facebook’s Sheryl Sandberg in mind, and, just glancing over the preview look book, that’s not hard to believe. Many of the ensembles has a definite workwear vibe, but with a serious edge (hello, faux leather and python!) that makes the pieces equally as appropriate for downtown gallery hopping as they are for the boardroom.
I myself cannot wait to possibly snatch up some goodies from Altuzarra for Target when the collection hits select stores and online. I’ve already got my eye on that olive green-and-black trench and all-over snake print dress, not to mention that wide brown belt (who can resist a fabulous waist cincher?). With such undeniably chic pieces and a killer price point, there is no doubt Joseph Altuzarra will have the masses looking especially fabulous come autumn.
