Currently Coveting: Smith + Mara

When it comes to jewelry, I am a true creature of habit. I rarely change up my accessories, if ever. I may occasionally swap my gold studs for something silver, or throw on my dainty signet ring for a day or two, but all in all I wear the same pieces a majority of the time.

However, the habitual re-wearing (some might call it laziness) does not curb my appreciation for great jewelry. Quite the opposite, in fact. My BaubleBar wish list is about a mile long, and I have spent many a lazy afternoon scouring fine jewelry sites with gusto.

It was while trolling that I ran across Smith + Mara. The label is the epitome of young and fresh (it was started just two years ago!) and their collections ring true to that idea. Co-founders and accessories aficionados Sara Smith and Mara Rothbart’s hand crafted (that’s right, hand crafted) pieces are the modern woman’s dream: funky enough that they are fun and of-the-moment, however streamlined and classic enough that they stealthily avoid being “trendy”. A few of my personal favorites? The Pave Diamond Burst Earring and the Baguette Diamond Necklace, a beautifully revamped take on the classic diamond necklace.

I’m not the only who has taken note of the absolute, well, gem, if I may. Smith + Mara’s pieces have graced fashion bloggers and celebrities alike, with highlights including Nina Dobrev, Chrissy Teigen, and Amber Valletta.

With their star shining brighter and brighter, now is definitely the time to get your hands on some Smith + Mara jewelry! I know I want to.
